Vineyard location and characteristics
The vineyards are located on the hills of Buje, at 220 to 250 metres above the sea, at the location of San Pellegrin, historically known for the growth of this grape variety. Maintaining a low yield per hectare and the general airiness of growing positions allows for healthy grapes which is vital for the extension of the maturing process and the obtaining of necessary concentration of aromas.
Color
Old gold hue; large tears slowly glide down the glass as the wine moves thickly and oilily
Aroma
A profusion of rich and clear aromas bursts from the glass — dried apricots blend with acacia blossom, followed by mandarin flower and ripe yellow apple.
Taste
The pure flavour of ripe grapes caresses the palate like a luscious fruit juice — sweet yet fresh. After a few sips, the mouth remains coated with traces of fruity wax. This wine feels like pure nectar.
Gastronomic recommendation
Pairs beautifully with aged goat cheese and fig marmalade, and excellently with goose liver. Ricotta and honey are also delightful companions.
Glass recommendation
Glass for young white wines
