Vineyard location and characteristics
The vineyards are located on the hills of Buje, at 220 to 250 metres above the sea, at the location of San Pellegrin, historically known for the growth of this grape variety. Maintaining a low yield per hectare and the general airiness of growing positions allows for healthy grapes which is vital for the extension of the maturing process and the obtaining of necessary concentration of aromas.
Vinification and maturing
After a short period of crio-maceration and light pressing, the must ferments at a low temperature in order to preserve a high concentration of the unique Muscat aroma.
Color
Soft airy yellow
Bouquet
Typically clear, yet elegant scent of Muscat grapes, acacia blossom with notes of ripe melon and gooseberry
Taste
Sweet aromas are simultaneously followed by a mineral freshness, while the typical Muscat aromas intertwine with flavors of gooseberry, pear and Chinese lychee with finishing notes of citrus making the wine exceptionally light and seductive
Gastronomic recommendation
Istrian cukerini cookies, kroštule, fruit desserts, biscuit cakes, cakes with Chatilly cream and strawberries, delicacies with a light lemon mousse
